Verdi's Requiem - Memorial Day, May 26th
To acknowledge the 100th-year anniversary of World War I—one of the most remarkable wars in our nation's history—and to remember those who fought, and continue to fight, for fellow Americans, the Blessed Sacrament Chruch will host Giuseppi Verdi's "Messa di Requiem". The event will be held at Blessed Sacrament Church in Hollywood and will feature more than 200 singers from various choral, regional and religious backgrounds.
The performance will honor miltary veterans and raise awareness of veterans' needs, with proceeds from this concert benefitting two organizations that support these efforts:
Wounded Warrior Project and Portraits of the Fallen Memorial
Joining a professional orchestra are:
Stacy Tappan, soprano solist
Olga Perez-Flora, mezzo-soprano soloist
Robert Macneil, tenor soloist
Victor Clark, bass soloist
and singers from:
